Computer Repair
The Info:
Computer problems suck. No matter what the problem is, its never fun to have a computer that isn’t working right. There are a lot of things that can go wrong with a computer: virus/spyware, incorrectly removed program, hardware damage, and various other problems. The worst part about having a computer problem is not the problem itself, but trying to get it fixed as fast as possible. There are number corporations and thousands of locally owned computer repair businesses that can fix you computer. The downside to going to any of them is that they will take forever to fix your computer (assuming, of course, that they can even fix it) and while they fix your computer, they try to drain your wallet. A lot of companies will charge $100+ to spend 10 minutes fixing a problem, only to leave your computer on a shelf for a week or more and give you the illusion that it took them a while to fix it. All they are trying to do is justify stealing your hard earned money from you. Believe me, I used to work at a locally owned computer repair shop, and that’s what we were told to do, take forever to get to the point of fixing your computer, and then charge you a lot to fix it. Another downside to most computer repair shops is that they will charge you no matter what. Most stores have a diagnostic fee, meaning they will charge you just to look at your computer to see if they have the means to fix it.
I, however, completely disagree with all of that. Not only is it morally wrong to treat customers how the big companies treat them, its also a good way to lose customers. I have extensive knowledge of today’s and yesterday’s computer and other common electronic gadgets. Here’s a brief list of some of the electronic devices that I am familiar with and can fix:
- Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, Server 2003, XP, Vista, 7
- Mac OS Classic, X 10.2+
- All major manufactures, including HP, Dell, Apple, eMachines, Asus, Gigabyte, and more
- iPhone, iTouch, all versions of the iPod
- Most major printers, such as HP, Epson, Dell, Cannon, and more
- Most external hard drives
- Much, much more
I have had a lot of experience with computer and other electronics. Here’s some of my accomplishments with electronics:
- Custom building 100+ workstations (workstations are standard computers, such as what you are probably using now)
- Custom building 30+ servers
- Building several large wireless networks with multiple access points
- Testing numerous things on the iPhone/iTouch mobile platform
- Building one website so far (the one your currently looking at)
- And a lot of other things
The Process:
If you are experience problems with your computer, iPhone, iTouch, or other electronic device, please contact me so I can assist you. While I do charge, it is relatively inexpensive and I will only charge if I’m able to fix your problem. If I attempt to assist you and I’m not able to fix your computer or electronic device for whatever reason, I will not charge you a penny for it. Also, I can fix most software problems by remotely connecting to your computer. While the idea of allowing me to remotely connect to your computer and control it might sound frightening at first, its really not that bad. During the entire process, you are able to see exactly what I’m doing, you are able to override my control over your computer, and you will be in constant communication with me, most likely on the phone. The benefits of fixing software problems remotely are that it is a lot faster than you taking your computer into a store or shipping it to me, and that I can be sitting in my room/office in Georgia, and you can be in your room or office anywhere else in the world and I can still help you. If you have a hardware problem or if you are experiencing a problem with some other electronic device, then we can work out some way for you to ship me your electronic device and I can fix it and then ship it back to you.
If you would like my assistance, an estimated quote on fixing something, or if you have any questions, the best way to contact me is by email: lightmaster.tech@gmail.com.
